ABOUT ME
in the beginning….
I grew up in Nottinghamshire, England where I spent most of my early years playing sports. It was sport, and in particular golf, where my fascination with performance and a lifelong curiosity about how the mind works first emerged. ‘The Inner Game of Golf’ by Timothy Gallwey was the first book that sparked it for me.
I moved to the US to attend college where I pursued a business degree and played a lot of golf.
My interest in performance and the mind continued from athletics to the corporate world where I spent much of my time exploring the factors, methods, and principles behind leadership and human performance on both the individual and organizational level.
I now live in Orlando, Florida with my wife and two daughters, but I rarely go to theme parks!
coaching…
I began coaching in the corporate world in 2008 and completed a formal graduate program in Professional and Executive coaching at the University of Texas in Dallas while working in Talent Development and Training at a Fortune 500 corporation where I trained and coached employees on leadership development, management, career development, and change management.
Since leaving the corporate world I have dedicated myself to serving others and helping people live healthier more satisfying lives through my passion of combining rigorous professional coaching with health, fitness, and mindfulness.
I have trained with experts in the fields of executive coaching, leadership, entrepreneurship, business consulting, athletic performance, personal development, fitness, sports, and meditation.
today…
My approach these days is one of simplicity. I love ancient wisdom and philosophy but also lean on rationality, the work of modern neuroscience, and a health dose of scepticism.
I have an active dislike for a lot of what passes for self-help or personal development, preferring instead to help cut through all the clutter, the misinformation, and the noise to help clients achieve the highest levels of performance in a healthy, sustainable, and human-centered way.
Often described as a relaxed but committed collaborator I pride myself on igniting people’s inner wisdom with my ability to listen, appreciate, and challenge the things that may be holding you back.
Helping people get things done with more ease and less stress drives what I do. Whether that be working through challenging times, improving athletic performance, making a career change, or simply making a better life.
